Pete is the leader of Beecher Carlson’s Captive Practice, an integral piece of the Risk Optimization Group, across 18 domiciles throughout North America. Beecher Carlson is among the world’s largest captive managers by premium volume and is one of the most awarded captive managers in the industry as recognized by Captive Review’s Annual Captive Service Awards. In 2018, Pete was named by Captive Review, a leading industry publication, as one of eight “One’s to Watch” and has been shortlisted for the 2019 Captive Service Awards Captive Service Professional of the Year! 

Pete has 15 years of experience in the captive insurance industry, preceded by 10 years in public accounting. He began his career in public accounting, gaining significant experience in auditing, tax and business consulting and advisory services. In early-2005, Pete joined Beecher Carlson’s Vermont office, managing several of the largest Vermont clients. In 2019, Pete was tasked with running all of Beecher Carlson’s captive operations, consisting of over 130 risk bearing entities, $4.4 billion in annual premiums and $19.2 billion in total assets.
