Hafi is Market Director at Barclays responsible for managing and developing the Captive, (re) Insurance strategy and expanding and strengthening client relationships into our booking platforms in the Crown Dependencies.
Hafi was appointed in March 2020 to grow this opportunity whilst working with the local jurisdictions and different banking teams.
Hafi has worked for Barclays for more than 20 years both in the UK and Overseas. Experienced as a Relationship Director and Leader across personal and non-personal client bases, covering clients in UK, MENA, India and Asia.
Hafi has over 25 years experience in banking, all within a front office environment starting his career off in corporate actions and then within a regulated Investment role.
Hafi is driven by doing the right thing for both the client and colleagues whilst having a consultative approach, and has held wider roles within the business, sitting on commercial forum and ex-officio member at Management Forum for the Private Bank.
Hafi has completed a post-graduate Executive Diploma in Management, and a Corporate finance course with London Business School, completed the Foundations of Islamic Banking, the Private Client Investment Management Diploma and taken the Certificate of International Cash Management and regularly attends CPD events relating to his industry and customers.
